Amethyst is a variety of quartz which occurs throughout the world. Its color ranges from deep purple to pale lavender.

Metaphysical Properties:

Amethyst is a stone of spirituality and contentment. It balances the energies of the intellectual, emotional, and physical bodies, and provides a clear connection between the Earth Plane and other realms. It can aid in achieving a mediative state, clearing the aura and opening the crown chakra. Amethyst can be used to help protect against psychic attacks, transforming the negative energy into positive, loving energy and transmitting it into the universe. It can be used to aid in the treatment of hearing disorders, skeletal ailments, disorders of the nervous system, digestive tract, heart, skin and teeth.
